# Prepare For Sync Or Backup

Before using Sync & Backup, the NAS must have at least one storage pool. If no storage pool exists, create a storage pool before creating or running sync and backup tasks.

During personal-space migration, the Sync & Backup page cannot be operated, and existing sync and backup tasks are paused. After migration finishes, return to "Synchronization" or "Backup" and manually start the tasks that should continue.
